Just hanging out in a squatted apartment building/night club down the road from us…

A stand out moment from last summer for me was a party that was held under the Elsenbrücke (Elsen Bridge), which is literally across the road from us.
We went there about 1300 on a Saturday and drank some beers, chilled out on the grass, listened to the music, and watched the sun set over the river. Walked the 200 or so meters back to our apartment just after sun went down, ate, slept a little, and went back just after midnight
The party was still in full swing, we brought our own drinks from home but could buy beer from some Turkish guy for 1.50€, and some person brought fireworks and was letting them off across the river.. we stayed till dawn, but it was still going the next day we heard.
I am not sure how legal that party actually was, but the police didn’t seem to care it was there.. but that’s Berlin for you. Not sure there is anywhere else in the world really like it..
